Life Changing Events Could Trigger a Need to Revise Your Estate Plan

The process of estate planning does not end when the plan is put into place. We constantly remind our clients to regularly review their estate plan to make sure it continues to accurately reflect their desires and estate planning goals. Certain life changing events should be triggers to consider revising your estate plan, such as when your personal situation changes due to life changing events such as marriage, divorce, remarriage, birth or adoption of children, inheritance, or illness. Likewise, it is also key to review your estate plan when the tax law changes. Below is a link for short article that summarizes some of the life changing events that should trigger a review of your estate plan. If you need to update, revise, or create your estate plan, contact the Criss & Rousseau Law Firm at 254-699-9999 or 409-515-6176, or [email protected]
