"In a letter to Judge Strother, Susan Criss expands upon her complaint of ex parte communication between the Court and the DA's staff, something which she deems "troublesome.""

"A theft case involving a Santa Fe woman that was a bookkeeper for a Galveston catering company has spun up a vortex of accusations, dragging in local political figures and a well-known bank president, among others. Susan Criss, a former district court judge, is attorney for the woman who's accused of stealing at her job with Catering by Benno. Criss asserts the catering company and others are trying to discredit her client with the theft allegations because of her knowledge about illegal political contributions. She has filed court documents seeking certain financial records of Moody National Bank President Vic Pierson, who her client asserts paid for catered political fundraising events in ways that violated state and federal campaign finance laws."
